The warm storm system that has been threatening to spoil this coming ski weekend is trending slower and farther south so for the best snow and weather conditions head as far north as possible. In fact, sun screen and shades might be needed on Saturday at and north of Sugarbush VT, Bretton Woods NH and Sunday River ME. Rain is still a possibility; especially later Saturday into Sunday the further south you go. Scroll down for our tell it like it is ski report.

Thaw freeze-cycle with GOOD to EXCELLENT spring conditions everywhere except borderline winter-spring with some lingering packed powder on the upper slopes of the ski areas highlighted in Light Blue on Today's SnowMap. Spring means crusty to icy in the morning softening to corn, wet packed and wet granular. These conditions will last thru Saturday except far south where it might be raining by Saturday afternoon.

Bad Weather Watch for Sunday: Heavy rain possible (not definite) the further south you go.
