| Brice Hoskin, the owner of Mountain Boy
Sledworks, designs wooden sleds in the small
Colorado town of Silverton; home to backcountry
(and now lift serviced) skiing at Silverton
Mountain, but probably more famous for its
sledding. His eye-catching sleds are unlike that
piece of plastic from the hardware store and are
made to last a very long time. Your Flexible
Flyer was probably the best sled you had as a
kid. The Mountain Boy Ultimate and Classic
Flyers are even better, incorporating modern
technology with the tried and true wood
construction techniques of the past. Made with
thick birch planks, hand-carved willow rails and
stainless steel hardware and protected with several
coats of lead-free, marine-grade finish. |

Slalom
Sled. Beautiful molded beechwood
plywood thickly coated with lead-free,
marine-grade finish, full-pivot steering, slippery plastic
runners, stainless steel hardware and extra long

one person riding it face down or sitting up or as a toboggan
seating one or two adults or up to three children. |
