Bar & Bistro.

Drinking a few beers while sitting on barstools made entirely from recycled skis at the Rusty Nail in Stowe VT convinced me that I needed a "bar & bistro" department in my store. This stuff is perfect for ski houses as well as for recreation room or basement bars down in the flatlands.

Ski/Log Bar & Bistro Furniture...

This extraordinary furniture is made using recycled skis and Northern white cedar. Northern white cedar has a creamy white color that blends with any decor as it weathers gracefully to a silvery grey patina if left untreated. It has a smooth surface that adds to the comfort of the furniture and is naturally resistant to rot and insect damage.

The stools are made entirely from recycled skis and are far more rugged than you would think. Approximate dimensions are seat height (30"), seat width (17" to 18") and overall height (48"). We can tweak the seat height by an inch or two if necessary. The ski tip bar height table has a round beveled plate glass top that sits on a hand-fabricated metal frame. (There just happens to be a metal shop next door to our ski furniture maker's workshop in Vermont).

Raised Relief Ski Bar Sign
We're not sure what it's made of (probably composite wood or some kind of hard plastic) or how old it is. We just know it's in very good condition and would look great on the wall of a ski house bar. The lettering is raised by 1/4-1/2" and the head of the elk protrudes out by about 2-3/4". It has the look and feel of something that's been hand-carved, but we don't think it was. Approximately 23" x 23". $50.00 plus $10.00 for shipping. Will be shipped within two business days.
