The next 40 years.
The old
machines were
scattered throughout
town, one at an
aunt's house,
another at an
uncle's house,
leaving many parts
not fitting
together. Some were
missing motors,
shafts or gears and
only a handful of
blades were still
around. In the
1990's, Roy's
grandson Bruce
Dennison set out to
put the pieces of
the puzzle back
together. After a
year of research he
found the answers he
needed among old
boxes of remaining
pieces, pictures,
old packaging and an
earful of stories.
With the ingenuity
of his grandfather
buried deep in his
genes, Bruce
Dennison picked-up
where his
grandfather left
off. He understood
the classic look his
grandfather wanted
in his log sets and
hasn't changed them
from the way they
were first made.
Today, Roy Toy log
building sets are
still hand cut from
100% real pine wood
just as before. And
they still have red
wooden gables and
green wooden roof
planks that are now
stained with
non-toxic,
food-safe, lead free
dyes.
