Elyse's nautical sign scrapbook
|
You won't find these anywhere
else. Available only from
SnowSource and at very
fair prices considering their
artistic and decorative value; and all of the
work that goes into custom making them. These
signs would cost about twice as much
if they were sold in retail stores.
Which size is best? We
recommend our 12" signs for sets of
two, three or four such as for the
initials of a person, club, school
or other organization. Our 7" signs
are perfect for longer first or last
names, boat names, camp names, etc.
or wherever available wall space is
a consideration.
Both sizes make great birthday,
wedding shower or baby shower gifts. |

Hard-to-find rustic, wooden nautical
letter signs.
Each
letter of the alphabet has a
corresponding nautical symbol. They
are frequently seen on flags, but
wooden signs with nautical letters
are not very common.
Made by Elyse and a couple of "hired
hands" in the SnowSource barn.
Elyse is co-proprietor of the
SnowSource General Store and also
happens to be an accomplished artist
and woodworker. She makes nautical signs in two
sizes; 12" x 12" x 1"
or 7" x 7" x 1" pine,
rough milled at a local sawmill. They are sanded, painted,
antiqued and waxed all by hand; the
same techniques used to make our
rustic, wooden
trail signs. Each sign has a saw-toothed
hanger on the back. They look and feel old, rustic,
weathered, antique, whatever you
want to call them. But they are
actually brand new, so they have a
lifetime of use left in them.
