Mad River Rocket Sleds
aka Knee-board Sleds
Mad River Rocket sleds provide a thrilling high
performance ride that brings the sport of sledding from
a backyard pastime to the forefront of alternative
winter sports. Rockets are piloted from the kneeling
position, using hands to drag steer. Ribbed foam pads
cushion the knees and a quick release lap belt keeps sled
and sledder coupled; even during inverted aerials.
Merely fun on hard-pack, Rockets rip when the snow is soft. Take
your Rocket to your favorite neighborhood hill or snowshoe the back country and rocket back down.
Designed by David Sellers, a renowned architect,
designer and inventor. In the winter, he can be found in
Vermont zinging down Camel's Hump or Roxbury Gap on his
own invention. More often than not, he is followed by a
long line of laughing neighborhood kids on Rockets of
their own.
