Kicksleds are in common use in Finland,
Norway and Sweden and are becoming more and
more popular in the USA. They can be used
for casual recreation, racing, aerobic
exercise, family fun (such as taking kids
for a snow ride) or as dogsleds (light duty
mushing with a single dog). Ice fishermen
use them to cart their equipment out onto
frozen lakes and then as a seat while
fishing.
The KTAADN Kicksled is made
exclusively for us in
a workshop in Michigan USA.
There are no distributors,
middlemen or importers involved. As a result, we're able to sell
this smartly engineered, ruggedly built
kicksled at a fair and reasonable price.
"Ktaadn" is the Penobscot Indian
spelling for Mount Katahdin, the
highest peak in Maine and the
northern terminus of the
Appalachian Trail.
