Custom services. All of our Huffman pictures are also available in black and white, hand tinted or vintage versions. Email us for pricing. Our rare and hard to find vintage photographs were made in Montana 30 to 55 years ago, yet have unexcelled clarity. All photos can be mounted for an additional charge.
History. Spotted Eagle's Village was the last great leather lodge village seen on the Yellowstone. These lodges were pitched near Fort Keogh when the Spotted Eagle hand numbering nearly 2,500 people of the Sioux nation surrendered to General Nelson Miles. At this point in time, most lodges in other camps were made from White Man's canvas. This is also the village where Rain-In-The-Face was a prisoner of war and where Huffman smuggled him away from the camp and into his studio where numerous photographs were made of him.

Prices & ordering. Prices range from $40.00 for an 8x10 to $160.00 for a 20x24 plus $7.50 for careful packing, shipping and insurance. Two labels, printed on crack n' peel paper, are included with each photo. One label has a brief description of the subject matter and the other outlines Huffman's life and work. Photos are sepia tone (brown), packaged with 1/8" foam board backing (un-attached to the photograph) and shrink wrapped for quality assurance. To order, click on a print size below. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery as each photo is individually reproduced.
