Birdhouses
and bat houses...
We travel down to the Parker River National
Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island,
Massachusetts a few times a year. It's home to nearly 300 species of
birds, insects, amphibians, reptiles mammals
and other wildlife. Visiting
one of the East Coast's most prolific bird
watching areas motivated us to find birdhouses
and other wildlife habitats that are unique,
functional and well-made. Our
research led us to a small company on the
Maine coast that specializes in the
handcrafting of wooden bird and bat houses that have the correct
dimensions, ventilation and drainage for
specific species.

A birdhouse in the spring, summer
and fall with a
slate predator guard that protects the
1-1/2" hole located at the top
of the front panel. When the
weather turns cold, the birdhouse can
be converted into a winter roost
by flipping the front panel (so
that the hole is at the bottom).
Three internal perches are then
slid into the box thru small
holes located on the sides. The
perches can accommodate 6 or
more birds. Made from eastern
white pine that can be left
natural or finished with linseed
oil. 12-1/2"h x 7"w x
9"d. $35.00 plus $9.50 for
shipping. In-stock and will be
shipped within two business
days.
